Please note that with the upcoming school holiday period we will be holding back all orders received from Friday 18th of September 2026 through to Monday 19th of October 2026.
If you require your order to be released prior to Monday 19th of October 2026 please let us know via email: orders@thechair.education.govt.nz including your order ref. and MOE number.
Down the Back of the Chair is the Ministry of Education's online catalogue of teaching and learning resources for schools, kura and ECE. Access to these resources is restricted to Ministry approved education providers only.

MINISTRY-FUNDED MATHS RESOURCES
Schools can use Down the Back of the Chair to order top-up Maths resources for 2026 to support roll growth and students who require additional support or extension.
Orders for top-up resources for the 2026 school year close on 30 October 2026.
Please note: Updated 2027 Maths resources are not available through this form.
Top-up orders for 2027 resources will be available through this form from January 2027.
